H.W. Carter & Sons has been around since 1859, when Henry W. Carter
of Lebanon, New Hampshire launched his denim sportswear manufacturing
business. By the turn of the century his company had become the premier
denim overalls and work wear maker, and especially popular in the north
east. In 1929 they purchased the Watch the Wear Overall Company and
"Carter's Watch the Wear" became the official trademark used on all
products. Today, they continue to dress families who keep America
thriving.
WITTMORE carries H.W. Carter & Sons because we are excited about the relaunch of the original company. The last time there was a men's
collection was in the early 70's. It's being redesigned with a modern
fit for the guys of today and made in the US.
