Since we have been spending more time at home these days, I thought it would be fun to take a pause and look at some inspirational things. Now more than ever I appreciate the environment that I have invested my energy into. I also think it's important to maintain a connection with friends and family via FaceTime and Zoom. And I love getting lost in my collections of music, movies and books. And keeping busy gardening, maintaining our home and keeping things organized.

The Architectural Photography of Julius Shulman
Author Joseph Rosa, Published by Rizzoli

Julius Shulman was known as the recorder of early California modernism. He was
one of the masters of modern architectural photography. Julius shot Richard Neutra, Eero Saarinen, Pierre Koenig to name a few from the 1930s through 1980s.

R.M. Schindler, John Lautner, Frank Lloyd Wright, Raphael Soriano,  Oscar Niemeyer and Mies van der Roche are all documented in this book.

Shulman defined the image of Los Angeles and framed the architecture of the
time which would be viewed by the world. Today many of these buildings are still standing.
