Who do you admire? 
I think that I mostly admire artists and writers who are incredibly technically proficient but their work is suffused with joy and creativity - three people immediately come to mind - Maira Kalman, David Hockney and Donna Tartt.

What's the first thing that comes to mind to describe your personal style?
Northeastern - city centric prep

What's your favorite global city and what's your preferred airline to get there?
NY is a disgusting place but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else - knowing me - I'd probably take the Amtrak.

Who is your favorite modern artist?
Dan Flavin - light! color!
Sol Lewitt - size! movement!
Saul Steinberg - instrospective! simple/beautiful!

What was the first car you ever owned, and what car would you buy right now?
My first car was an Infiniti G20 stick shift which required me to hold it in every gear - I have a bike and that's about as much as I can handle. 

Where are you most comfortable?
I'm most comfortable when I'm working and when I'm working I'm usually working with textiles - which is a mixture of developing patterns, and plaids and sourcing fabrics from 1 of our 25 mills. 
 
Name the most inspiring place you've ever seen first hand?
I think that southern Spain has such an amazing palette, light and colorful cuisine that any picture is a good picture. 
 
What future tech gadget should be invented?
Something that makes stops everyone from looking at their phones.

What animal are you?
Some variety of monkey - I'm curious.

What's your beverage of choice? (alcoholic or not)
Depends on the season - but this summer was the summer of the aperol spritz.

How do you like your guacamole: mild, medium or spicy?
Medium because I want to share.
