FACTS
Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis received a patent for the invention of the blue jean in 1873. In 1927, Cone Mills develops the 10oz red selvage exclusively for the 501 jeans. The denim is woven on 29" wide looms and is know as XX denim. Then in 1936, red Tab is first placed onto the right back pocket - the word "LEVIS" is stitched in white in all capital letters.
